The American Tinnitus Association exists to cure tinnitus through the development of resources that advance tinnitus research. ATA is a global leader in the effort to find a cure for tinnitus, bringing together patients, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry partners and lawmakers to develop tinnitus management tools and fund vital tinnitus research.
The Mindfulness Based Tinnitus Stress Reduction course offered by Dr. Jennifer Gans. Dr. Gans is a clinical psychologist specializing in the psychological impact of deafness and hearing on well-being. She designed the MBTSR program to teach mindfulness meditation skill to people with chronic tinnitus, helping participants cultivate new ways to relate to the experience of tinnitus and stress in their daily lives.
Oto is an online personalized CBT for tinnitus program delivered through the Oto mobile app. It is designed to teach and practice effective techniques to overcome bothersome tinnitus.
Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) is the largest private funder of hearing research, with a mission to prevent and cure hearing loss and tinnitus through groundbreaking research. Since 1958, HHF has given away millions of dollars to hearing and balance research, including work that led to cochlear implant technology and now through the Hearing Restoration Project is working on a cure for hearing loss and tinnitus. HHF also publishes Hearing Health magazine, a free consumer resource on hearing loss and related technology, research, and products.
The Better Hearing Institute, founded in 1973, conducts research and engages in hearing health education with the goal of helping people with hearing loss benefit from proper treatment.
The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is the nation’s leading organization representing people with hearing loss. HLAA provides assistance and resources for people with hearing loss and their families to learn how to adjust to living with hearing loss. HLAA is working to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss and raise public awareness about the need for prevention, treatment, and regular hearing screenings throughout life.
